The distribution area of the Sahara traps extends to the south into the north of today's Mali. One finds the same shapes here as in northern Libya, 2,000 kilometers away. The southernmost place where I found kite-like traps in the Sahara so far is in the north-east of Mali, in the Adrar of the Ifoghas Mountains.
